Affirmism
AFFIRMISM is not a religion, tribe or cult. It is a unique perspective of religion. The word AFFIRMISM comes from the acronym AFFIRM which stands for:
A Framework For Individualising Religious Methods.
One who subscribes to this perspective is called an AFFIRMIST. To become an AFFIRMIST one simply makes the following AFFIRMATIONS:
- I do not belong to any religion
- I have my own religion that belongs only to me
- I do not confirm to the idea of institutionalized religion
- Every person has a unique religion that belongs solely to that individual
- My religion is neither superior nor inferior to those of others
- I shall not exhibit the attributes of my religion publicly
- I shall not share my religion publicly even if asked to
- I shall not make any effort to advocate or evangelize my religion
- I shall not insist on the right to follow my religious methods publicly
